The typical Swedish timber house Hammaren is beautifully placed on a lakeside property with great scenic views overlooking lake Gåstjärn. Facing south the waterline is only 10 meters away from the house. And a small creek runs nearby.

The timber house was built around 1860 and has an area of 50 m2.
Hallway, a large, old-fashioned kitchen / dining room, a bathroom with shower and WC, a small bedroom with a double bed (140 cm) and a living room with a couch that can be used as a bed. Three single beds suited for younger guests in the attic. The cabin has electric heating and complete equipment for cooking your meals: Electric stove and oven, fridge with freezer section, coffee machine, microwave.

Large, older trees such as maple and oak stand nearby the house and you can pick apples for your pie. Garden furniture and a grill come with the house as well as a canoe and a rowing boat. On the large property you find the barn with storage and an outdoor fireplace right next to the lake.

If you have a dog it is very welcome aswell!

The surroundings: Hammaren is undisturbed placed in the wilderness of Värmland 25 km southeast of Filipstad (35 min). There is only one other house by the lake - the friendly Swedish neighbor across the lake. You will find excellent opportunities for swimming, canoeing, fishing, hiking, biking etc. Lots of blueberries, lingonberries and mushrooms just around the corner in the surrounding woods. Welcome to explore the lake with its hidden bays and fish grounds! And in the nearby area you find several other lakes. Sitting by the campfire you can listen to the sound of the loon echoing beautiful across the lake. With a little luck the moose - the king of the woods himself - can be seen nearby.
